Mr. Adams was elected President-Elect in 2007 at the NFD & MA's annual convention that was held in Philadelphia, PA. |
|

He
was elected Corporate Secretary during the NFD&MA 2005 National Convention in Nashville, Tennessee. |
|
|
|
He is a native of Greenville, North Carolina however has made his home in Greenville, South Carolina since 1981.
He currently serves as vice president of the
association. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated from American Academy McAlister Institute of Mortuary Science in New York. Mr. Adams is associated with the Watkins Garrett and Woods Mortuary Inc. of Greenville, South Carolina.
He has served on the S.C.State Board of Funeral Service
as its President and is also the State
Inspector for the South Carolina Funeral Service Board.
He was appointed as one of the first three African Americans to represent NFD&MA on the American Board of Funeral Service
Education. He has served also as District III District Governor, Chairman of the State of Affairs Committee of NFD&MA
and, several other committees. Mr. Adams is now serving on the Arts Exam Committee of the International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards. He was the named the Robert H. Miller Professional of the Year for 2003 as well as for South Carolina Mortician Association and District
4. He is past editor of the Artery, member of Epsilon Nu Delta Mortuary Fraternity and The ROADS. |

Mr.
Adams is a Life Member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, NAACP and the Alumni Association at UNC-Chapel Hill. He has served on many civic organizations United Way, American Red Cross, Greenville Free Clinic, Food Bank of the Piedmont just to name a few. He is currently Chairman-Emeritus of the Black Heritage Bowl. |
